Hwy 9 drainage system replacement project begins Monday near Ben Lomond

John Madonna Construction, of San Luis Obispo, is being paid $120,000 by Caltrans to replace a deteriorating drainage system near Ben Lomond. Work begins Monday, July 21 along southbound Highway 9 from Alba Road to California/Middle Road. Traffic controls will be in place 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Fridays through mid-August. Delays of up to 10 minutes should be expected. Drivers are reminded to move over or slow down in highway work zones. It's the law.
