Drainage project closes the Fishhook at night this week
Caltrans is paying Graniterock Construction of Watsonville $200,000 to make drainage improvements at the Fishhook. Beginning this week, crews will work from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on southbound Highway 1 between the Emeline Street overcrossing and Carbonera Creek Bridge near the Fishhook. The project is to wrap up by the end of this month. Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway construction zones. It's the law. For information on this and other projects in Caltrans District 5's Central Coast area, call 1-877-448-6771 or visit http://www.dot.ca.gov/dist05/paffairs/release.htm#scr.
