Sewer project to occur weekdays

Dear Street Smarts, Q: Thursday's column about the sewer work on 17th Avenue says that the work will take place "from 8:30 to 4:30 daily." Does this mean seven days a week, or Monday-Friday, or Monday-Saturday? I ask because the 17th ave art studios is having its summer show july 12-13, and we need to know what to expect. Thanks, Cliff Barney via email A: Work will occur weekdays, Monday through Friday. Flood control inspections and maintenance If you pass by the San Lorenzo River and Branciforte Creek Channel in Santa Cruz and see people rummaging around, know that they are trying to prevent floods. Starting June 16 and lasting about five weeks, the public works department will be inspecting and repairing to the drainage systems along the river as required by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.  The works also involves creating vegetation buffer zones along the river as well as Branciforte Creek Channel.
