Third row seat belt issue prompts recall of 7K 2014 Toyota Highlanders

Toyota is recalling 7,067 certain model year 2014 Highlander vehicles  because the third row middle seat belt assembly may fail, increasing the risk of injury to an occupant in the event of a crash. The recall claims the seat belt may not have been properly secured to the vehicle floor during assembly. Toyota will notify owners and dealers will inspect the seat belt anchor and, if necessary, secure it properly to the vehicle floor at no cost to owners. The recall is expected to get underway this month. For information, call Toyota at 1-800-331-4331.
