Scenic trail network final master plan released

The Monterey Bay Sanctuary Scenic Trial Network project's final master plan is available for the public's perusal. The Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Commission has released the document that defines the proposed bicycle and pedestrian trail adjacent to the Santa Cruz Branch rail line right-of-way. The report addresses concerns that arose after the release of the draft master plan. It also includes corrections to errors, updates bridge and construction cost estimates, project priority segment scores by geographic reach and identifies missing features or crossings. The commission is to consider adopting the master plan and certifying the final environmental document at its Nov. 7 meeting. The final environmental report is due out by Friday, Oct. 25.
