Nighttime Caltrans work on Hwy 9

Nighttime Caltrans work on Hwy 9 Caltrans this week will be doing some grinding and paving along Highway 9 in Ben Lomond, Brookdale, and Boulder Creek. The work starts in Ben Lomond Tuesday night, Oct. 1 at 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Here's what to expect this week: Tuesday night, there will be no access to Highway 9 from Upper Glen Arbor Road. Parking will be prohibited along Highway 9 at this location during the closure. And on northbound Highway 9, Love Creek and Fillmore streets will be closed. Traffic there will be detoured to Main St, as a crossing point to Mill St., and hooked back to the highway. Wednesday night in Brookdale, expect one-way traffic controls and delays of up to 20 minutes. Thursday night in Boulder Creek, no parking will be allowed on Highway 9. Lomond and Forest streets will be closed. In the northbound direction, traffic will be detoured to Middleton Ave., where traffic can access the highway. On southbound Highway 9, Highway 236 will be closed, as well, and traffic will be redirected through Lorenzo Avenue. One-way traffic controls will be in place and delays of up to 20 minutes should be expected. The CHP will assist with traffic control and parking restriction enforcement. Drivers are reminded to move over or slow down when traveling through highway work zones.
