$8.2 million project begins Sunday on Hwy 17 through Scotts Valley
Caltrans will begin an $8.2 million project to construct retaining walls, upgrade the guardrail and crash cushion, as well as and end treatment on a six-mile section of Highway 17 Sunday.
The work, which encompasses various locations in Scotts Valley from Santa's Village Road to the Santa Clara County line, is to wrap up in the fall of 2014.
Motorists should expect alternating lane closures in both directions during the day and night. Delays of up to 15-minutes may occur during the lane closures.
Pavex of San Jose will perform the work. Drivers are reminded to move over and slow down in the construction area.
Stay abreast of this and other Caltrans projects by calling 423-0396 or visiting www.dot.ca.gov/dist05/projects/.
