Transmission problem behind recall of 980 GM vehicles

General Motors is recalling 980 model year 2013 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vehicles because it is possible to remove the ignition key when the vehicle is running and the transmission is not in park. This can allow the vehicle to roll away and cause a traffic collision. General Motors will notify owners and dealers will make the repairs for free. The recall is to begin Jan. 23. The safety recall number is 12332. For information, call GMC at (866) 996-9463 or Chevrolet at (800) 630-2438.
