Transmission problem behind recall of more than 800K Honda vehicles

Honda is recalling 807,161 model year 2003-04 Pilot and Odyssey vehicles, as well as 2003-06 Acura MDX vehicles because their transmissions may allow drivers to remove the ignition key when the affected vehicles are not in

The 2003 Acura MDX is among 800K vehicles being recalled by Honda because of a transmission problem.

“Park.” This can allow the vehicle to roll away and cause a crash. Honda will notify owners and dealers will inspect and make repairs for free. The recall is to begin in February. The recall campaign numbers are S73 and S74. Vehicle owners can call Honda at (800) 999-1009.
