Toyota recalls 778K RAV4s and Lexus vehicles

Improperly tightened nuts for the rear wheel alignment adjustments are behind Toyota's recall of 778,000 2006-2011 RAV4 and 2012 Lexus HS250h vehicles. If these nuts are improperly tightened during service, the rear tire rod may develop unwanted movement and rust that could lead to thread damage and eventual failure. If the tire rod fails, it will change the vehicle's alignment abruptly, causing loss of vehicle control and increasing the risk of a traffic collision. A recall schedule has yet to be determined as Toyota is developing a solution to the problem. Vehicle owners may call Toyota at (800) 331-4331 or Lexus at (800) 255-3987. More information about this and other recalls is available on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at (888) 327-4236 or online at www.safercar.gov.

One Response to Toyota recalls 778K RAV4s and Lexus vehicles

Wow!  A common sense editorial!  Get ready for the self-righteous hollering!

“In a story published last week, the Sentinel found the volunteer needle exchange in the county exchanges twice as many drug needles to addicts as a government-run program in Santa Clara County — an area with SIX times the population.”  This kinda says it all… “Santa Cruz has been burdened by a reputation for harboring more than its share of drug addicts and transients…”

Thank you Pamela Comstock for taking on a difficult and political situation that affects ALL of  Santa Cruz!  Keep Strong.  Keep Santa Cruz SAFE–NOT WEIRD!!! (courtesy of Neil Coonerty in order to save his Bookshop Santa Cruz against the now defunct Borders–Gee, thanks a lot Neil!)
