Honda recalls 172K CR-V and Acura ILX vehicles

Honda is recalling 172,837 model year 2012 Honda CR-V and 2013 Acura ILX vehicles because a problem with the door locks means the passengers doors may not fully latch, allowing the door to open while the vehicle is moving or in a crash. If the manual or power door lock is activated while the interior door handle is in use by an occupant, the cable connecting the interior door handle to the door latch mechanism may become loose, move out of position and not allow the door to latch properly. Honda will notify owners and dealers will make the repairs for free. The recall campaign numbers are S45, S46 and S47. The recall is to begin around mid August. For information, call (800) 999-1009. One Response to Honda recalls 172K CR-V and Acura ILX vehicles

  1. Iu2019ve read articles about many vehicles have been recalled for technical problems. I think this might bring the particular car company a big black mark and for the owners, they would have been really frustrated.
