AARP Driver Safety course offered Saturday

Experienced drivers seeking to brush up on the rules of the road, as well as learn how aging and medications impact their motoring skills can sign up for this month's AARP Driver Safety course. The two-part class will begin at 12:30 p.m. Saturdays June 16 and 23 at the Louden Nelson Senior Center, 301 Center St. in Santa Cruz. Each session is four hours long and participants must attend both in order to get a certificate of completion they can present to their automobile insurance company for up to 10 percent off their premium. While AARP represents folks over age 50, drivers of all ages are encouraged to sign up. Cost is $12 for members and $14 for non-members.
