Loose bolts, engine failure behind Suzuki’s 5K bike recall

Engine failure caused by loose bolts on the side stand interlock switch is behind the recall of 4,969 2012 Suzuki GSX-R1000 motorcycles. If the engine stops running while the bike is in motion, it could increase the rider's risk of a traffic collision. Suzuki will notify riders and dealers will replace the side stand interlock switch bolts for free. The recall is to begin later this month. The safety recall number is 2A29.
