Website helps consumers compare green vehicles, find the right one for them

Thinking about buying an environmentally friendly vehicle but have no idea which one is the “greenest”? The California Air Resources Board has built a website – www.driveclean.ca.gov -- that helps you search for and compare all the green vehicles on the road and decide which is best for your needs, according to this week's edition of the DMV's Ask George column. Comparison criteria include global warming score, smog score, technologies and fuel types, as well as body style. Drivers also can compare fuel cost savings and incentive programs, as well as peruse the different styles of vehicles, ranging from sedans to minivans and pick-ups to SUVs. There's even a category for green neighborhood rides. Street Smarts has added the website to its links section for future ease in searching for your ideal green vehicle.
