RTC hosts workshops regarding Monterey Bay Sanctuary Scenic Trail Network

This month, the Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Commission will host public workshops around the county to discuss the Monterey Bay Sanctuary Scenic Trail Network. Specifically, the agency wants the community's help in planning the bicycle/pedestrian trail network, as well as ideas about the trail's location and how it should connect to schools, neighborhoods, parks and other destinations. The workshops are planned for 6-8 p.m.: Dec. 13 at Pacific Elementary School, 50 Ocean Street, Davenport; Dec. 14 at Simpkins Swim Center, 979 17th Avenue, Santa Cruz; Dec. 15 in the Watsonville Civic Building Community Room, 275 Main St. 4th Floor, Watsonville. A Spanish translator will be available at the Watsonville event. Each workshop will start off by a presentation about the trail network, then wrap up with break-out groups that will examine maps and provide focused input.
