AAA offers ‘Crash App’ for iphone users

Don't know what to do after you are involved in a traffic collision? There's an app for that. AAA has launched a free cell phone application for iPhone users to guide them through the process of collecting information from all the parties involved, taking photos, as well as contacting a tow truck at the touch of a button. “There are a lot of things to do and information to collect following a collision that can seem overwhelming when combined with the stress of a car crash,” said Matt Skryja, spokesman for AAA Northern California of the AAA Insurance app. “The AAA Insurance app provides step-by-step instructions on what information you should gather, including photos. It also helps you request a tow truck.” Protected by a password, the so-called crash app allows users to store their insurance company contact information and their policy number with information about who and which vehicles are covered in their phone. Once the collision information is gathered, app users can view their crash detail summary and email a report straight from their iPhone. App users do not need to be a AAA customer to reap its benefits. Download AAA Insurance from the iTunes App Store on an iPhone or from www.itunes.com/appstore/.
