Motorcyclist offers simple riding advice
Last week, Street Smarts asked motorcyclists to offer tips for beginning riders.
Wasabi wrote on the Street Smarts blog that new riders should, "Check out the book, 'Let's Ride,' by Sonny Barger. Forty-three years riding and teaching, and it is a book I am impressed with for new riders. Enjoy."
The book's full title is, "Let's Ride: Sonny Barger's Guide to Motorcycling; How to ride the right way -- for life." It was penned, along with Darwin Holmstrom, by the man who wrote the New York Times best selling memoirs of a Hell's Angel, "Hell's Angel: The Life and Times of Sonny Barger and the Hell's Angels Motorcycle Club.
Amazon.com calls the 288 page book "a nuts-and-bolts guide to mastering the art of motorcycling," as it's chapters delve into every aspect of motorcycle ownership, including:
"Let's Ride" earned 4.5 stars and rave reviews from the readers -- riders and non-riders alike, as well as new and experienced riders -- who bought it.
With my motorcycle safety training class beginning soon, sounds like I'd better get this book.
Thank you, Wasabi.
