The joke is on …

     Here’s a transportation-related email joke from one of my friends. Keep in mind, traffic cams that take photos of traffic violators don’t do what’s described below, as they’re only designed to catch speeders and red light runners. But it would be awesome if they were rigged to catch people doing such illegal things as talking on a cell phone. Read on:


     A man was driving down a road when a traffic camera flashed. He thought his picture was taken for exceeding the speed limit, even though he knew he was not speeding. Just to be sure, he went around the block and passed the same spot. He made sure to drive slower this next time around. Again, the camera flashed. The man thought this was quite funny, so he circled back around and slowed down even further as he drove past the area. And, again, the traffic camera took his photo. For giggles, he drove by a fourth time, with the same result. By the fifth time, he was laughing out loud when the camera flashed. Two weeks later, he received five traffic fine letters in the mail for driving without a seat belt.

    I thought the punchline was going to be he got a ticket for cruising!
