On Tuesday night, Ariel Helwani on UFC Tonight announced several fighters who are confirmed to be making the transition to the UFC. Santa Cruz’s Luke Rockhold was on the list.
The defending Strikeforce middleweight champion is 10-1 and was considered a lock to make the leap to the UFC after last Saturday night, when Strikeforce held its final event in Oklahoma City.
Other confirmed middleweights included Roger Gracie, Tim Kennedy, Lorenz Larkin and Ronaldo Souza.

Rockhold recently spoke with MMAFighting.com and said Costa Philippou makes the most sense for his UFC debut.
Whether that will happen remains to be seen. But it’d be interesting to see if Rockhold’s scheduled debut is at UFC on Fox 7, which is scheduled to take place at HP Pavilion on April 20.
