Ryan Parker returned to the Aptos High boys basketball team on Wednesday night after sitting out a little more than two weeks with an injury. He hit his head on the floor in a game on Jan. 17 against Soquel, and was said to have suffered a concussion.
Parker sparked the Mariners with three 3-pointers in the third quarter on Wednesday night as Aptos pulled away from SLV in the second half en route to a 78-59 victory. Parker finished with 11 points.
It is Aptos’ eighth straight win. It hasn’t lost since falling to Santa Cruz in the league opener. The Mariners’ big game next week is at home on Tuesday to Soquel.
