Pasatiempo pothole has got to go, reader says

Dear Street Smarts,

Q: This note is being written to you with the hope that you can bring attention to a teeth-jarring pothole that needs to be filled.

Driving northbound, after exiting Highway 17 at Pasatiempo and turning right at the top of the ramp and stopping at the stop sign, as you turn left onto El Rancho Drive, the front wheel of your vehicle falls into a pothole deep enough to jar the whole car, not to mention teeth, nerves and bad backs. Even worse, most of the time — and especially at night — this hole is not readily apparent, so caution is not taken to slow or to avoid it.

If you could bring attention to this problem to the people who could fix it, a lot of people would be so grateful — and especially me, with my herniated disc.

Thank you for your efforts.

Gordon and Andrea

A: “We will certainly add it to our list,” said Steve Wiesner, assistant director of county public works.
