Brake problems behind Mitsubishi EV recall

Mitsubishi Motors North America is recalling 1,402 model year 2012 i-MiEV electric vehicles because the brake system vacuum pump may fail, causing the vacuum pump to stop working, thus increasing stopping distances and increasing the risk of a collision.

The company will reach out to vehicle owners. Dealers will make the repairs for free. A recall notification schedule was not provided. The campaign recall number is SR-13-001.
