Start off the new year knowing the rules of the road and how aging impacts one’s ability to drive.
The local chapter of AARP is offering its Driver Safety Program at the Louden Nelson Senior Center, 301 Center St., Santa Cruz.
The eight hour class is split up over two days, Saturdays Jan. 19 and 26. Both sessions get underway at 12:30 p.m. Participants must attend both days to get credit for the class, which could mean a discount of up to 10 percent with participants’ automobile insurance companies.
While AARP represents folks over age 50, drivers of all ages are encouraged to sign up. Cost is $12 for members and $14 for non-members.
To register, call 426-6472.
