Honda is recalling 268,655 CR-V passenger vehicles because the driver-side power window switch may fail.
This kind of failure in th 2002-06 model year vehicles can lead to overheating, smoke and possibly fire. – something that cold happen even when the vehicle is not in use. As a precaution, owners of this type of vehicle are urged to park their car and not drive it until repairs are made.
Honda will notify vehicle owners while dealers will inspect and repair the switches, if necessary, for free. The recall is to begin around Nov. 2. The safety recall campaign number is S61.
