RTC’s sustainable transportation survey going on now online

The Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Commission is seeking the public’s opinion about integrating sustainable principles into future transportation projects.

The commission is in the midst of creating the Regional Transportation Plan, which prioritizes limited transportation funding and develops strategies to pay for some of the area’s unmet multi-modal transportation needs, including highways, roads, transit, bicycle and pedestrian.

The current plan was adopted in June 2010. The next plan is scheduled for adoption in 2014.

The public can take the Regional Transportation Plan – Sustainability survey at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/RTP_Sustainability_1. The survey is one of a few that will be used to gain the public’s input regarding the plan’s goals and policies.

Completing the survey takes about 10 minutes. The questions are multiple choice and open ended.
