Welcome back, party house database … with a map

Santa Cruz Police keep a list of houses in the city that have been cited for loud and unruly instances in the past year. They update the list every two weeks. If you’re searching for a place to live (or a great party), it’s nice to know where the noise is coming from.

Our database with the SCPD’s loud and unruly addresses was down since February, but back up in time for those lining up a place to live in the fall. We’ve also added a handy map:

In our little neighborhood we have 3 listed party houses. u00a0But the database does not include the park at 90 Grandview Street which is a party haven for young gang members. u00a0Last July 4th it sounded like a war zone. This park has been a blight in the neighborhood even before Carl Reimer was slain there last year (in April 2010).
