The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is gearing up for another epic summer. And, just as it did during its 100th anniversary season back in 2007, the Boardwalk will be featuring “The Lost Boys,” featuring of tons of shots at the Boardwalk, on the big screen on the beach. This time, though, it will be a tribute to one of the film’s stars, Corey Haim, who died last month.
As part of that celebration, none other than Corey Feldman, who co-starred with his fellow Corey in the film, will be on hand to introduce the film and play with his band the Truth Movement.
If you were there for the first screening of the film on the beach back in ’07, it was a magical night. With Haim’s recent passing, this should add a real element of poignance. It all takes place June 30 down at the Boardwalk.
The Boardwalk has also announced its summer music series, which includes A Flock of Seagulls, Loverboy, Eddie Money, Peter Noone, Spin Doctors, the Tubes, Blue Oyster Cult and lots more. For details, go here.
