Santa Cruz Warriors guard Travis Leslie will be a replacement player in the 2013 NBA Development League All-Star Game, the league announced Thursday.
Leslie and Justin Dentmon (Texas Legends) replace Cory Joseph (Austin Toros) and Andrew Goudelock (Rio Grande Valley Vipers), who are both unable to play due to injury, on the Prospects Team.
Leslie, a 6-foot-4, 205-pound standout out of University of Georgia, is the first Warrior to be named an NBA D-League All-Star. He’s averaging 16.2 points, 7.1 rebounds and 27.8 minutes in 21 games, 17 as a starter. He has scored more than 20 points in six games, including two outings where he tallied 30 or more points.
Originally selected in the second round of the 2011 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Clippers, Leslie was a first-round selection in the 2012 NBA D-League Draft by the Santa Cruz Warriors.
The 2013 NBA D-League All-Star Game will be televised on NBA TV at noon on Saturday at the Sprint Arena at NBA All-Star Jam Session at Houston’s George R. Brown Convention Center.
