Paradigm Sport is putting on two catcher clinics in upcoming weeks.
The first is Jan. 12 Archbishop Mitty High in San Jose, where Joey Wolfe, owner of Paradigm Sport, went to school before playing catcher in college and later the minor leagues.
The second clinic is Jan. 19 at Harbor High in Santa Cruz.
Children ages 8 to 18 are eligible to attend, as are coaches. Cost of each five-hour clinic is $125. Each clinic runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Current San Francisco Giants Triple-A catcher Tyler LaTorre, an Aptos High and UC Davis alum, will also help coach.
Among the topics to be addressed: stances, throwing, pop-ups, giving signs, mental aspects, blocking the plate, receiving, fielding, blocking, pick-offs and more.
