Senior linebacker Justin Woodlief made five tackles, and No. 20 Southeast Missouri State beat visiting Tennessee State 19-17 in an Ohio Valley Conference game.
Woodlief, formerly of Soquel High and Cabrillo College, lead the defense with 40 tackles. He also has an interception. He was the SCCAL’s Defensive Player of the Year in 2005.

Griffin played at Monte Vista Christian and Cabrillo. La Verne teammates Ryan Saucedo [Watsonville High and Cabrillo] added three catches and Chad Lucas [St. Francis] had two. Lucas, a freshman, also had a 26-yard kickoff return.
