Olson falls short of cut at PGA Tour Q-School

Aptos’ Eddie Olson shot a final-round 70 for a 2-under 286 total but that wasn’t low enough to advance from the first stage of PGA Tour Q-School in Dayton, Nev.
Olson finished tied for 31st. He needed to finish tied for 19th or better to advance.
He had four birdies and two bogeys in his final round at Dayton Valley Golf Club.
The cut was 5-under-par 283.
Dusty Fielding of Washington, Utah, earned medalist honors with a 12-under-par 276 total.
